Privacy Policy

We collect information you provide and information created as you use the service:

• Account details — your name, email address, and phone number.
• Profile details — display name, an optional bio, location, and a profile photo if you upload one.
• Leader shipping details — if you are a group leader, we may collect your preferred name, home address, shirt size, and spouse's name so we can send you gear. These fields are only requested from leaders.
• Group activity — your group memberships, attendance, study and training progress, prayer requests, forum posts, and messages you send within the app.
• Sign-up preferences — the times and days you are available and your group preferences when you request to join.
• Device and usage data — basic technical information such as app version and activity timestamps, and a push-notification token if you enable notifications.

• Provide and operate the platform and place you in the right groups.
• Communicate with you by email and push notification about meetings, lessons, prayer, and group updates.
• Ship gear and materials to leaders.
• Track training and study progress so leaders and administrators can support you.
• Keep the community safe and enforce our guidelines.

We do not sell your personal information. Within the app, other members of your group can see your name and profile photo. Your home address, spouse's name, phone number, and email are visible only to you and to platform administrators, not in the member directory.

We share data with service providers who help us run the platform, only as needed to provide the service:

• Supabase — database and authentication
• Vercel — website and app hosting
• Resend — transactional email
• OneSignal — push notifications

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our community.

If you allow notifications, we send reminders and updates to your device. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can permanently delete your account and all associated personal information at any time from within the app, under Profile → Delete My Account, or by emailing us using the contact below.

You can view and update most of your information on your profile page, and permanently delete your account from Profile → Delete My Account. To request access to or correction of your personal information, email us at groups@hoam.co.

We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data.

The platform is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page.
